Hi, I am Janette Brown, owner of Pretty Vintage. I have been a stylist for most of my life. My knowledge comes from years of retail experience with brands such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Express and Victoria’s Secret. I also attended InternationalAcademy of Design and Technology for Fashion Design. My designs are multi-functional, so you can see how different items can be worn different ways, and linked to others to switch it up a bit. Most of my inspiration comes from everyday life, runways, trends, W, Bazaar, and what kind of fashion risk I am feeling like taking that day. I hope to inspire you as well.
Pretty Vintage is made from recycled fabrics and previously loved articles of clothing that belonged to myself and friends. Most of the trim comes from luxury brands and high quality pieces of remnants from the floor of the Saks Fifth Avenue alterations room. This is how I came up with the name Pretty Vintage.
If you have any pieces that you’d like to revive and have reworked, I’d be happy to design something for you with my own vision or with you if you have some ideas.
I recently added jewelry to my Pretty Vintage collection and am currently working on making some pieces for you to enjoy as well. Everyday leather corded bracelets that can double as necklaces, antique spoon rings and more to come. I like to be versatile so you can interlock many of my pieces, add extensions or mix and match earrings.
Another service I provide is to set an appointment with you and your closet to create outfits, styling assistance,discard pieces that are out of style or don’t fit that you are ready to part with. If we need to take a shopping trip, that’s ok too! Organizing closets is one of my favorite services to provide. I have years of experience making stores easy to shop and pleasing to the eye and I can do the same for your closet.
